Q - What are the guidelines for a Queen City Church Pastor officiating our wedding?
A - By having a Queen City Church Pastor officiate your wedding, Christian premarital counseling is required prior to the wedding. If the premarital counseling is completed outside of QCC, documentation of completion should be sent to info@queencitypeople.com. In addition to premarital counseling, we ask that you faithfully attend our church.
We also suggest a minimum of a $300 honorarium for a QCC Pastor who officiates your wedding along with any required travel expenses outside of the city of Cincinnati.
Q - What does the premarital process look like at Queen City Church?
A - At Queen City Church we offer premarital counseling through a Group based curriculum called “Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts” (SYMBIS ). This allows the opportunity to meet couples in the same season of life as you as well as have a mentor couple lead you through the 12-week curriculum. This group curriculum is offered in both the Winter and Fall Semesters. During the group process, you will also meet one-on-one with your group leader to discuss personal topics regarding your relationship.
Q - How far in advance can we schedule a Queen City Church Pastor to officiate our wedding?
A - You can request for a Queen City Church Pastor to officiate your wedding as soon as you get engaged. We will not assign a specific officiator until 6 months prior to your wedding date in order to know availability.
Q - How much does the SYMBIS group cost?
A - The cost for SYMBIS is $80 per couple and is non-refundable. This fee includes the cost of the online SYMBIS assessment and curriculum you will receive for your group.
Q - Can I ask for a specific Queen City Church Pastor to officiate our wedding?
A - Absolutely! You can ask for a specific Queen City Church Pastor, we will not know availability until 6 months prior to your wedding date. Although we can not guarantee a specific officiator, we will do our best to accommodate and communicate throughout the process.
